Two Orthodox boys were the victims of a verbal attack late last night, writes Jacqueline Gordon
The boys aged 14 and 17 were walking along Manor Road in Stamford Hill when they were approached by a man shouting “Allah Akbar! F****ing Jews! Kill the Jews!”
Shomrim immediately responded to a call by the concerned boys while the suspect was still in the area continuing to shout anti Semitic remarks to other pedestrians and community members.
The 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene by Hackney Police Officers in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of racially aggravated public order offences and remains in custody at an east London police station.
Chaim Hochhauser, Supervisor at Stamford Hill Shomrim said: “Anti Semitism and all types of hate crime are unacceptable. I urge victims and witnesses to report such incidents immediately. Such incidents should never be accepted as the norm, no matter how regularly these incidents sadly happen”.
