Barnet Council are running a Pesach waste and chometz collection service to help Jewish residents prepare for the festival, writes Natasha Sporn.
Waste will be collected on Thursday 21 April from 300 designated roads – including Golders Green Road and Temple Fortune Lane – with residents asked to place anything in black bins or sacks outside their property before 6.30am.
Those who live in Barnet but not in the relevant roads can book a free Pesach collection by calling Street Based services on 020 8359 4600 or by emailing pesach@barnet.gov.uk before 4pm on 19 April.
Barnet Council – covering areas with a significant Jewish population – have been running the Passover collection scheme for several years.
